OWLCAT GAMES was founded in 2016. The studio employs experienced developers who worked on projects such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, and is currently working on titles Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.

We are currently looking for a Regional PR Manager to work with the English-speaking market. This person will work with the publishing team, developing and implementing effective PR strategies to enhance the studio’s presence and brand image in the region. They will possess extensive media relations experience, expertise in translating complex concepts into broadly digestible stories, and strong self-management skills.

For this role it's important to be based in the US and to able to work with a fully remote team located in the EU timezone.

TASKS:

• Develop and execute high-impact, creative PR campaigns for Owlcat Games portfolio of titles in the US and UK market in collaboration with the publishing team
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with US and UK-based journalists and media
• Pitch story ideas, news releases, and other relevant content to secure positive media coverage
• Seek opportunities for collaborations and partnerships to enhance the studio's brand reputation and product visibility
• Create compelling PR content and ensure it is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the studio's brand voice and messaging
• Act as the spokesperson and coordinate media responses during crisis situations
• Direct and oversee digital and physical events that drive media coverage and content creation
• Provide timely PR reports and analysis to the management team

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in public relations or communications on behalf of gaming brands, preferably in a PR agency
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with relevant media professionals, journalists and hybrid outlets
• Deep knowledge of the US and UK gaming market and understanding of its PR challenges
• Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills to develop engaging PR content and narratives that resonate with target audiences
• Proactivity in searching for unique angles and opportunities to generate positive media coverage
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and tight deadlines
• Stellar communication skills, written and verbal
