OWLCAT GAMES was founded in 2016. The studio employs experienced developers who worked on projects such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, and is currently working on titles Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.
TASKS:
- To process vision of the project into vision of game design elements and correctly present this vision to the team
- Create the design of game elements and implement them with the help of the design team and other development teams
- Being responsible for the quality of the project’s design documentation
- Providing design specifications to artists, programmers, and UI/UX designers and ensuring the results meet these specifications
- Overseeing the full implementation of new game elements by providing design specifications and interacting with other development teams
- Setting up work processes and assembling a project team within the game design department.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 5+ years of work experience in game design and a minimum of 2+ years of experience managing a game design team
- Extensive experience in playing video games, in particular RPGs and turn-based tactics, understanding of the ins and outs of these game genres and their mechanics
- Experience in working on game projects (preferably RPGs, tactics games, and strategy games), at least one of which was launched on a major gaming platform (Steam, Google Play, etc.)
- Experience in writing design documents and their implementation
- Experience in developing elements of game mechanics and combat mechanics
- Experience in creating and scripting game entities
- Ability to make a convincing argument
- Russian language skills at B2 level are necessary due to the team’s Russian-language production pipeline and internal communication.
