OWLCAT GAMES was founded in 2016. The studio employs developers who worked on projects such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

We are currently looking for experienced Lead Сinematic Animator to join our new sci-fi RPG AAA-project on UE5.

TASKS:

· Develop and maintain the animation style – Define the style and direction of animation in alignment with the product’s art style and atmosphere, while establishing quality standards for the team

· Create animation concepts – Develop ideas for character, object, and scene animations, considering design requirements and technical limitations.

· Lead the animation team – Train, guide, and delegate tasks within the team, conduct regular meetings, and provide feedback.

· Create keyframes and animation cycles – Implement high-quality animations, adjust and optimize them according to the project's technical requirements.

· Collaborate with other departments – Work closely with artists, game designers, and developers to ensure an efficient workflow.

· Optimize workflow – Identify and implement new tools and techniques to improve team efficiency and enhance animation quality.

· Ensure quality control and meet deadlines – Maintain high animation standards, monitor task completion within deadlines, and coordinate the team's work with other departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Strong knowledge of animation and experience in animation production – Deep understanding of animation principles and the ability to transfer this knowledge to the team.

· Experience working with Unreal Engine – Familiarity with its functionalities and tools, including the animation system, Blueprints, Sequencer, AnimationGraph, and others.

· Technical animation skills – Proficiency in working with bone systems, skeletal animation, and character/game element setup.

· Strong communication skills – Ability to effectively collaborate with designers, programmers, and producers to ensure smooth teamwork.
