OWLCAT GAMES was founded in 2016. The studio employs developers who worked on projects such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

 

We are looking for an experienced Sound Designer to join our team and work on an unannounced RPG project. Your responsibilities will involve broad and diverse support for audio in our projects, including designing sound systems, creating and integrating audio assets, enhancing the artistic quality of sound, and identifying and resolving technical issues.

 

This is a full-time position with the possibility of remote work.

 

 

Responsibilities:

·      Create, maintain, and improve sound systems to ensure high-quality audio implementation in the project.

·      Design various sound effects.

·      Integrate, configure, and test audio assets using Audiokinetic Wwise and Unity.

·      Collaborate closely with other development departments, supporting their audio-related needs.

·      Identify and resolve issues related to sound design and perception in the project.

·      Analyze audio in similar projects and implement improvements to enhance competitiveness.

·      Manage and oversee the work of contractors (music, sound effects).

 

 

Requirements:

·      At least one year of experience in a similar role within a game studio.

·      Strong knowledge of Audiokinetic Wwise and Unity.

·      Ability to create sound effects for a wide range of applications.

·      Ability to create clear and logical design documents to support sound-related tasks for programmers.

·    High level of self-organization and responsibility, along with project management skills.

·      Understanding of how to create a high-quality mix suitable for the project's genre and format.

·      Willingness to grow professionally and improve audio work within the game development industry.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·      Experience working on game projects where you played a significant role in audio creation, with demonstrable results.

·      Extensive experience playing video games, particularly RPGs.

·      Experience working with Git/SVN.

·      Ability to write scripts to automate routine tasks.

·      English language proficiency at B1 (Intermediate) level or higher.

Please note: This position does not require composing music.

Candidates may be asked to complete a test task as part of the interview process.
