OWLCAT GAMES was founded in 2016. The studio employs developers who worked on projects such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

We would love to see a new Senior Game Designer join our new sci-fi RPG AAA project in Unreal Engine.

TASKS:

· Own and drive major gameplay features, proactively suggest improvements to gameplay systems and principles;

· Writing and updating game documentation;

· Work with Designers, Programmers and QA to create engaging gameplay features;

· Overseeing the complete implementation of new game elements by providing design specifications and interacting with other development teams;

· Working with and scripting game elements in Unreal Engine as part of implementation of features.

REQUIREMENTS:

· A minimum of 2 years' game design experience, including senior or lead design experience on a shipped product;

· Extensive experience in playing video games, in particular RPGs, actions and third person shooters, understanding of the ins and outs of these game genres and their mechanics;

· Experience in working on game projects (preferably RPGs, action, and third person shooters), at least one of which was launched on a major gaming platform (Steam, Google Play, etc.);

· Experience in writing design documents and their implementation;

· Experience in developing elements of game mechanics and combat mechanics;

· Experience in creating and scripting game entities;

· Ability to make a convincing argument.

PLUSES:

· Experience with Unreal Engine;

· Extensive experience in playing AAA games.
