OWLCAT GAMES was founded in 2016. The studio employs experienced developers who worked on projects such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, and is currently working on titles Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.

Right now we are looking for a Senior Level Designer (Layout / Blockout).

Candidates for level designer position are requested to provide portfolios/examples of the projects they did.

TASKS:

• Designing, prototyping and iterating levels with quest designers
• Designing and setting up combat encounters: cover layouts, enemy waves and spawners, hazards, AI script, boss arenas
• Creating and polishing blockouts according to all level requirements using UE5
• Developing and working within predefined level metrics
• Cooperation with other departments to ensure created levels contribute to and enhance the gameplay and game narrative
• Authoring level design documentation

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3 years experience as a Level Designer or in a similar role
• Experience with Uneal Engine
• Deep knowledge of current games, specifically in the Action RPG and TPS genres Excellent understanding of level design fundamentals and the role of level design in the overall player experience
• Ability to create map layouts on all stages – from simple drawings to fully functional levels in at least one of the existing game engines
• Excellent communication skills & proven ability to work within a team
• Russian language skills at B2 level are necessary due to the team’s Russian-language production pipeline and internal communication
